About The Position

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an Interventional Technologist II for a Full Time, Day shift in Woodbridge, VA. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified applicants. The Cath Lab at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day. Heart and Vascular has 3 labs for EP, Cardiac and IR at SNVMC. The schedule is either 4 ten hour shifts or, 5 eight-hour shifts. On Call requirement is a minimum of 8 shifts per month including at least 1 weekend. Must be within 30 minutes of the facility for on call requirements. The Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Trade School Graduate required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire
  • One of the following Certifications required: ARRT Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Radiography (R) ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience preferred
  • Invasive procedure experience
  • Cath lab experience preferred
  • Diagnostics and Structural heart experience preferred
