About The Position

The position is within the Cardiology department at Prime Healthcare St Mary's Hospital, located in Kankakee, IL. It is a full-time role with a day shift schedule. The individual will work under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist) and will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Responsibilities include ensuring the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitoring the par level of all instruments and supplies, participating in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff. The role also involves assisting in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities
