The Interventional Radiologic Technologist works under the supervision of the physician who is performing the procedures. He/She provides radiologic care and services to patients, prepares and operates X-ray and recording equipment to produce specialized X-rays of the vascular and circulatory systems of the human body for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. The Interventional Radiologic Technologist applies professional skills to a patient population of all ages; ensures that the Radiology department meets accrediting agency and ARRT standards and achieves the Singing River Health System objectives. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.
