About The Position

Handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the interventional radiology procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year direct patient care experience is required.
  • Completion of a certificate, diploma or degree program in healthcare or science related field is required within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Surgical technician experience is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of direct patient care experience is preferred.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Surgical or Anesthesia Tech program or Paramedic is preferred.
