About The Position

Where You’ll Work Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs’ community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado’s home base for the Flight For Life® Colorado air medical transport service. Job Summary and Responsibilities PRN- 15% PRN differential applies. $4.75/hr specialty differential applies. The Interventional Radiology Tech p rovides quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department and perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. This role follows standards of safe radiation practice and demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists, while also acting as a clinical resource to the unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.

Requirements

  • One year imaging experience strongly preferred
  • HS/GED required
  • Associates degree strongly preferred
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology, Vascular-Interventional Radiology, or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology - R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT) required
  • Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)
  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required
  • ACLS through American Heart Association preferred
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
  • Schedule: PRN- five shifts per six week scheduling period.
  • On call required.
  • 30 minute callback radius applies.
