The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction. We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to newly hired Techs!

Requirements

  • Graduate of a JRCERT Radiologic Technology program required
  • Current ARRT and CRT certifications required
  • Fluoroscopy permit required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required (ACLS preferred)
  • Experience performing a variety of Radiologic Interventional scans and/or procedures in a busy clinic environment preferred
  • Excellent arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills required

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS preferred
  • ARRT-CI specialty certification preferred
  • Congenital Heart experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Cardiovascular Technician/ Radiology Tech assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Electrophysiology Lab
  • Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system for both interventional cardiac and electrophysiology studies
  • Assists physicians by functioning as scrub tech, monitor role or assistant circulator, archives all digital images and documents all actions taken by the EP Lab
  • Responsible for being able to setup and operate all equipment within the department that may be required for a given procedure including but not limited to: Electrophysiology studies, Ablation, Pacemakers and ICD implants
