Requirements

• Graduate of an approved radiology program.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
• ARRT Certification.

• 1 year as an Interventional Radiology Tech.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment to obtain fluoroscopic images according to Radiologist specifications.
• Assists the Radiologist in protocols/procedures as required.
• Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient conditions continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Provides professional and quality care while following hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
• May be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the training of new staff or others in specialty assigned areas for procedures, protocols, equipment and/or safety issues.
