Interventional Radiology Nurse – Raleigh Radiology (Wake County, NC) Part-time- 3 days a week Join Raleigh Radiology, a leader in advanced imaging care, as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse. In this vital role, you’ll deliver exceptional patient care, guide clinical operations, and collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, compassion, and excellence. Key Responsibilities · Provide expert nursing care to IR patients, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care throughout every phase of treatment. · Assist with complex procedures, administer medications, monitor patient responses, and deliver clear post-procedure education and support. · Champion patient education, ensuring every patient and family understands the procedure, recovery process, and follow-up plan. · Lead and coordinate IR operations, including scheduling procedures (FNA, MRI pacemaker, IR cases), managing authorizations, and maintaining OBL and hospital supply readiness. · Act swiftly in emergencies, applying clinical expertise to ensure patient safety and continuity of care. · Foster teamwork and communication, working collaboratively across departments and modeling professionalism, empathy, and service excellence. · Support occupational health initiatives in partnership with Human Resources. Reporting Structure Reports to the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations with accountability to the Medical Director. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE A. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. B. Experience: ONE year of professional nursing work experience, where the employee independently provided nursing care to patients in a clinic, hospital, or institution. Prefer radiology experience. C. Certification: BCS is required within the probationary period. ACLS and PALS are preferred.
