About The Position
Radiology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Radiology Associates of Canton. We are looking for a full time medical assistant to join our growing interventional radiology practice. Duties include customer service, reception, facilitation of patient care and administrative work. Our ideal applicant is a friendly, out-going person who is interested in caring for the health needs of others. We are looking for a teammate who is organized, fluent in medical terminology and comfortable collaborating with physicians and clinical staff. Someone who loves people and has an active interest in our practice and treats it as their own.
Requirements
- Previous experience in office administration or other related fields.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced clinical setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be out-going and genuinely like people
- Computer skills (Microsoft word and excel, google docs)
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical assistant experience preferred.
- Experience working in a variety of clinical platforms such as Epic EMR, RIS and PACs systems
Responsibilities
- Communicating with physicians, patients and business partners in various formats
- Plan and schedule appointments and events
- Greet and assist patients
- Answer and prioritize inbound telephone calls
- Develop and implement organized filing systems
- Work closely with the doctors to manage office efficiency, flow and quality of customer care
- Maintain continuity of communications with rotating physicians and physician assistants
- Work with our IT team and work within various EMR systems
- Pre-authorize examinations, imaging procedures and visits
- Tracking patient visits, office statistics, and goal setting for the office
- Facilitating imaging follow up by contacting referring physicians and communicating patient results
- Experience with medical billing preferred, limited experience with medical billing necessary
