About The Position

Seeking an Interventional Radiology Assistant to provide pre and post procedural care of interventional radiology patients, inpatient, and outpatient. Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging provider(s) and nursing staff this position will be responsible for: Prescreens and interviews inpatients and outpatients prior to radiology procedures. Provides patients with educational and pretest instructions. Responsible for rooming, scheduling, and completing appropriate documentation. Assist with maintenance and cleaning of instruments and equipment following the policies and procedures outlined in policy. Other duties as assigned.. Position Requirements: EDUCATION: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associate Degree in a Medical Assistant Program is preferred. EXPERIENCE: Six months experience and/or training in a medical office preferred. CERTIFICATIONS: Certification as Medical Assistant required within one year of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 90 days of hire. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
