About The Position

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) who will work in accordance with the Radiologists to provide exceptional patient care. Must be able to adapt to clinical situations. The APP has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs and also involves other care partners (radiologist, referring providers, staff support) as needed to help ensure the appropriate provision of services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Involved in clinical work managing complex patients through advanced decision making, interpretation of laboratory values, assessment of radiological studies, clinical evaluations, and limited procedures. 75% of time spent performing initial consultation, follow-up visits, hospital rounds (admissions/discharges) and obtain majority of H&P for all radiology procedures 25% of time spent performing limited, low risk procedures under general and proximate supervision and E&M within the scope of practice of a radiology APP and as outlined on the delineation of privileges Treat and manage patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric population Participates, collaborates, and actively engages with APP administration, radiologists and hospital staff to achieve goals and mutually beneficial outcomes Serve as an educational and clinical resource to staff as well as to patients and their families Assists with formulation of policies and protocols as they relate to APP team and clinical workflow based off established guidelines Assumes other duties as assigned by Operations Committee Participates in research initiatives for the development of protocols and/or data analysis Assumes responsibility and accountability for organizing time and workload to manage all service lines Responsible for assisting with training of new APP hires Minimum Qualifications: Education/Licensing/Certification: Graduate level education

Requirements

Advanced Practice Provider
Board certified by accrediting body
Certification ACLS, BLS, PALS, NCMB, DEA
2+ years’ experience
Knowledge of company & compliance policies
Adept with EMR and dictation system
Analytic ability to evaluate and determine health status of patient and implement plan of care
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to function effectively and adapt to a dynamic and often changing work environment including multiple hospital facilities

Nice To Haves

Surgery, trauma, critical care, vascular experience with inpatient/outpatient consultations experiences preferred
