About The Position
The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Radiology Department is seeking a BC/BE Fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) team in the growing Northern Virginia area. Successful candidate will make a significant impact on our expanding program in our diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedural services. Requirements
- BC/BE Fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist
Responsibilities
- Work in a very active and progressive IR practice
- Perform a wide range of IR procedures
- Ability to maintain diagnostic radiology skills
- Participate in the IR on-call schedule (one week a month)
- Cover Prince William Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center, and Culpeper Medical Center
- Handle inpatient interventional procedures requested by the ED and inpatient teams
- 8-10 clinic patient visits per day when scheduled in the outpatient IR clinic with an opportunity to grow your patient panel
- Average Image-guided procedural volumes in the hospital is 8-12 patients per day
