About The Position

An established Interventional Radiology team in Urbana, Illinois is seeking an additional BE/BC Interventional Radiologist. This role offers a 100% Interventional Radiology practice with access to advanced technology, a wide range of procedures, and strong collaboration with vascular, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and oncology specialists.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Radiology.
• Experience in performing a wide range of interventional procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% Interventional Radiology practice, including vascular ultrasound.
• Conduct comprehensive procedures using the latest techniques and instruments.
• Provide Interventional Oncology services such as percutaneous tumor ablation and Y90.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated Cancer Institute.
• Lead the IR-led PE response team providing pulmonary embolectomy and CDT.
• Treat conditions including portal hypertension, peripheral arterial disease, and venous disease.
• Expand into newer techniques such as PAE and GAE.
• Participate in a 1:5 weekly IR call, beginning at 5:00 pm.
• Utilize state-of-the-art Siemens and Philips peripheral labs, Siemens Artis Q biplane room, procedural CT scanner, and iU22 ultrasound.
• Work in dedicated IR suites, IR clinic/staff, vein center, and office space.
• Provide coverage for only one hospital.
• Engage in opportunities for academic and/or research affiliation with a leading engineering-based medical school.
