Interventional Radiologic Vascular Technologist
About The Position
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist assists physicians in the completion of invasive vascular imaging procedures to include, but not be limited to, cerebral, peripheral and visceral angiography, stent placement, angioplasty, and thrombectomy in addition to the duties of a radiologic technologist. Produces high quality diagnostic images for vascular, neuroradiology, or assigned surgical areas (OR) that meet the standards established by Mosaic Life Care. Acts as liaison to convey information pertaining to patient status. Requires competence in a variety of electronic systems, equipment, technologies, and supplies. Prepares procedure rooms, preps patients for procedure, assists physicians in procedure by circulating and scrubbing procedures, operates a variety of interventional equipment and cleans and restocks procedure rooms following procedures. Practices safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication and personal responsibility. The position reports to the Director, Associate Director, Radiology Manager, and Lead Technologist of Radiology. Call response time is 30 minutes to be in the hospital.
