About The Position

Advanced Radiology is one of the largest independent radiology practices in the tri-state area with the most experienced radiologists. We are looking for a Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications. The Interventional Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures; reviews all necessary documentation related to the procedures and performs related clinical and administrative duties.

  • Proven record of taking direction professionally from other medical personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the job.
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • ARRT (RT)(M) and CT State License required
  • 1-3+ years clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated interest in meeting patient needs and assuring patient satisfaction.
  • Operating knowledge of radiographic/IR equipment to produce accurate images while maintaining sterile technique. Assembles sterile trays and assumes scrub duties as necessary.
  • Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures by selecting the correct exposure factors utilizing the assessment of patient age, pathology and diagnosis to produce technically accurate digital images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis.
  • Reviews all necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for each radiographic room/equipment assigned ensuring appropriate maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Performs related clinical and clerical duties associated with the patient procedure.
  • Assists in the managing of the radiographic procedures through the coordination of resources, to facilitate optimal efficiency. Assures that the procedures performed are in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Performs warm up calibration procedures necessary to ready the x-ray equipment for patient imaging.
  • Assists in the procurement of all necessary supplies.
  • Informs the supervisor of any equipment needing repair to ensure prompt service.
  • Contributes to a positive climate and open communication for a team approach.
  • Maintains certification and licensure by attending continuing education classes.
