About The Position

St. Vincent's Medical Center is actively hiring for an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join their dynamic team in Bridgeport, Connecticut as we grow our team to support a state-of-the-art Neuroendovascular suite and program. The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex Neuro and Interventional invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required. Works with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents. This position is 100% clinical and may require mandatory call as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
  • State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate digital equipment for Neuro and Interventional invasive procedures.
  • Position patients and prepare contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Work with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents.
