We are searching for a talented Interventional Rad Technologist. This position offers a $12,000 new hire sign-on bonus for new hires and rehires termed more than 1 year. The role is for 24 flex 32 hours with day shifts that include weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation at St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology RT(VI)/(CI)/or (CV).
• Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.

Nice To Haves

• Post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography.
• ACLS certification.
• RT Licensure in the Commonwealth of Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
• Obtain pertinent information from patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR.
• Educate patient for exam.
• Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
• Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
• Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
• Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
• Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and be aware of MR safety practices.
• Assist physicians in performing procedures.
