About The Position

The position involves performing imaging procedures using Toshiba scanners and assisting physicians with various cardiac procedures including Heart Catheterizations, Angioplasty procedures with stents, and Structural heart procedures such as TAVR, PFO Closures, Watchman, and Mitra Clip Insertion of IABP, Impella, and ECMO Peripheral procedures.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion/enrollment of formal imaging training in an AMA approved school.
• Meet requirements for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and/or New York State Department of Health License.
• Maintain knowledge of all stages of human development.
• Participate in orientation and continuing education.
• Complete population specific competency annually.

• Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures using Toshiba scanners.
• Assist physicians during Heart Catheterizations and Angioplasty procedures.
• Support Structural heart procedures including TAVR and PFO Closures.
• Insert IABP, Impella, and ECMO for peripheral procedures.
