About The Position

The Interventional Procedures Tech II position in Interventional Radiology at Evanston Hospital is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week on a day shift from Monday to Friday, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including rotating hours and on-call responsibilities. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $15,000 for new graduates and $20,000 for candidates with one year of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization. The role involves ensuring radiation safety, assisting physicians during procedures, maintaining equipment, and managing supplies in the IR/Cath labs.

Requirements

  • IEMA license and ARRT Registered required.
  • Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required.
  • Previous experience as an Angiography technologist desirable.
  • Excellent intercommunication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for radiation safety and protection of all team members during and after a procedure.
  • Cross train to assist the physician to perform IR and/or Cath procedures (scrub the case); record/monitor the procedure; or circulate the procedure.
  • Maintain equipment used during the procedure.
  • Charge and complete all required documentation for procedures.
  • Assist in supply management and restocking of supplies in IR/Cath labs.
