About The Position

The Interventional Procedures Tech II position in the Cath Lab at Glenbrook Hospital is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. The position involves working four 10-hour shifts starting at either 6:30 or 7 AM, with rotating weekends and on-call duties. The role includes responsibilities for radiation safety, assisting physicians during interventional radiology (IR) and catheterization procedures, maintaining equipment, and managing supplies in the IR/Cath labs. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for new graduates and $20,000 for candidates with one year of IR or Cath experience.

Requirements

  • IEMA license and ARRT Registered required.
  • Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required.
  • Previous experience as an Angiography technologist desirable.
  • Excellent intercommunication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for radiation safety and protection of all team members during and after a procedure.
  • Cross train to assist the physician to perform IR and/or Cath procedures (scrub the case); record/monitor the procedure; or circulate the procedure.
  • Maintain equipment used during the procedure.
  • Charge and complete all required documentation for procedures.
  • Assist in supply management and restocking of supplies in IR/Cath labs.
