We are seeking a skilled Interventional Pain Physician to join our team at the Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls, SD. Orthopedic Institute seeks a fellowship-trained, procedure-oriented Interventional Pain Medicine Physician to join its Pain Management service line, currently anchored by Dr. James Brunz. • Trigger point injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and image-guided joint injections for spine, hip, knee, shoulder, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Integration of physical therapy, rehabilitation strategies, and non-opioid medication management as part of multimodal treatment plans.
  • Evaluating new and follow-up patients in an outpatient setting, formulating diagnosis and treatment plans, and coordinating care with orthopedic surgeons, therapists, and other specialists.
  • Performing procedures at Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital and associated Midwest Pain procedural settings, as well as in OI’s in-office fluoroscopy-equipped procedure rooms in Tea and possibly Mitchell.
  • Utilizing OI’s Athena EMR for documentation, ordering, and coordination of imaging and therapy services.
  • Working with a primary clinical staff member (RN/LPN/MA) and a shared Patient Navigator (procedure scheduler), with additional staff resources flexed to volume.

Benefits

  • OI offers a comprehensive benefits package typical of leading independent specialty groups, including health insurance, retirement plan participation, malpractice coverage, paid time off, CME support, and relocation assistance; detailed benefit summaries are available for review during subsequent interview stages.
  • Additional information on specific clinic templates, call logistics, and the shareholder compensation model will be provided in conversations during an on-site visit.
