About The Position

The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, is seeking a full-time, board-certified Interventional Cardiologist. This role is dedicated to providing high-quality medical care to Veterans, combining clinical practice with teaching responsibilities for Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students. Requirements

• Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
• Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred.
• Training in structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention is desirable.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a qualified non-citizen if no U.S. Citizen is found.
• Possess a full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching or academic settings.
• Familiarity with the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular consultation services.
• Conduct standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, and angioplasty.
• Engage in clinical practice and teaching of Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
