About The Position
JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Interventional Cardiologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Chambersburg, PA • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: May 11, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Nightly call when covering; STEMI call required • Call Type: Beeper COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage beginning May 11, 2026 • Up to 40 hours per week once every other month PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 18 patients per day • Admissions: Yes (inpatient cardiology cases) • Rounding: Included (inpatient coverage with APP support) • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: Interventional Cardiology FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 270 • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard cardiology and cath lab equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Yes • Support Staff Available: Dedicated outpatient clinical team, inpatient APP, cath lab staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, for clean files and urgent needs • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per client policy REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Right and Left Heart Catheterization (R/LHC) • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) • Balloon Angioplasty • Intra-aortic Balloon Pump • Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain • Board: Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology • DEA: Active DEA with Pennsylvania address required • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required • Experience: Prior interventional cardiology experience required • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide interventional cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures • Participate in STEMI call coverage and emergency interventions • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
- Active DEA with Pennsylvania address required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Prior interventional cardiology experience required

- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
