About The Position

As a Licensed Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), helping unlock their full potential. This is a hands-on position where your expertise and dedication directly improve students' academic success and social-emotional growth.

Requirements

• You hold a current Ohio State teaching license for Intervention Specialists (a must-have!).
• You know Ohio State and Common Core Standards inside and out-and how to apply them creatively.
• You have proven experience in inclusion classrooms or co-teaching in resource rooms, championing students' diverse learning needs.
• You thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that values coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and tech-savviness (Microsoft Word, Outlook) are in your toolkit.
• You're committed to building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
• You're ready and able to pass federal and state criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with general education teachers to tailor instruction, modify curriculum, and ensure students with disabilities succeed alongside peers.
• Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, then develop and implement effective behavior improvement plans.
• Lead IEP meetings and write clear, measurable goals aligned with student needs and state requirements.
• Use research-based, culturally responsive teaching strategies every day.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for a group of students, supporting their academic and social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families to celebrate progress and tackle challenges together.
• Participate in school activities that build community-field trips, events, and more.
