Intervention Specialist
About The Position
Our Columbus clinic is growing their clinic-based Therapeutic Learning Program (TLP) and looking for another Intervention Specialist to join our team! This IS role would support Autism Scholarship students working towards their IEP goals in individual and small group settings. This program is also supported by our Clinic Program Coordinator, BCBA Supervisor, Intervention Specialist, and a few aides. Requirements
- A valid credential in Special Education and ODE License
- Access to a mobile phone (for email) & basic internet (if working offsite)
- Must clear a current background check through the BCI/FBI
- A current TB Test (within the last 12 months)
- Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (25/50k liability coverage)
Responsibilities
- provide small group and one-on-one instruction to students requiring support in the areas of reading, writing, math, and other areas as needed.
- communicate on-going student progress to parents/guardians, general education teachers, school administration, district personnel, and other service professionals via progress reporting and Individual Education Plans.
- be responsible for maintaining on-going compliance in accordance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
