As the Intervention Specialist you will provide assistance to the Family Support Specialists in helping achieve identified family goals for safety, permanency, and well-being. This position removes barriers and provide opportunities for children to visit/interact with their family members. Specific duties include: Schedule appointments and meetings. Provide transportation assistance with valid driver’s license and insurance Supervise family interactions after at least four visits directly with the Family Support Specialist alone and then three additional visits integrating the Intervention Specialist into sessions Supervise sibling interactions following at least two visits with the Family Support Specialist and at then at least one visit incorporating the Intervention Specialist into the interactions before performing the visit on his/her own. Identify tools, resources and/or supports within the community Escorting parent(s) or adult(s) in the case Advocate for children/families referred to SP/FSRP services Telephone contacts with the parent(s)/adult(s) in the case Work with the Family Support Specialist assigned to the case and work as a cohesive team member providing case supervision Be trained in and demonstrate skills in family interaction and capable observation documentation during sibling and family interaction
