About The Position

EASTCONN’s Bridges Community School in Willimantic, CT serves students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Bridges is committed to the practices found across all of our specialized programs, including explicit instruction; data-based decision-making; team collaboration; and universal, proactive approaches. The qualified candidate will utilize the tenets of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support program development and implementation/progress monitoring of behavior support plans in public and private educational settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in data collection, organization and analysis for the purpose of future programming decisions, as well acknowledge and skills in conducting functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and developing/implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs). The individual in this position will engage in training of school-based personnel on implementation of strategies as delineated by the student’s educational program, as well as feedback and professional development for staff on best practices in supporting students with special needs. Skills and experience in report writing and development/implementation of behavioral strategies a must. Responsibilities also include attendance and participation in team meetings and PPTs for the purpose of supporting program development and implementation. Requirements
