About The Position

Education Alternatives (EA) is looking for a passionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join its Elyria team. EA is a leading provider of special education services in Northeast Ohio, focusing on providing behavioral and education programming for students with special learning and emotional needs. EA has 8 locations serving over 400 special education students. The Intervention Specialist provides special education for students and is responsible for developing individualized and measurable goals and objectives for students in the classroom. Instruction is based on the core curriculum standards for the State of Ohio, designed to meet the unique needs of each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Requirements

• Current State of Ohio Intervention Specialist license (K-12)
• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Prior classroom experience working with children and adolescents preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide special education for students with special learning and emotional needs.
• Develop individualized and measurable goals and objectives for students in the classroom.
• Deliver instruction based on the core curriculum standards for the State of Ohio.
• Ensure the curriculum meets the unique needs of each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
