About The Position

All Saints School is a thriving Catholic elementary and middle school dedicated to providing a nurturing and academically challenging environment rooted in the values of the Catholic faith. We seek a passionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team and support our mission of developing well-rounded students prepared for success in high school and beyond. The Intervention Specialist will play a vital role in supporting students' academic growth and development by providing targeted interventions and individualized instruction to students in grades K-8 who are struggling academically. This position requires a strong understanding of differentiated instruction, assessment strategies, and intervention techniques, as well as a commitment to Catholic education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education in special education.
  • Valid teaching license in Ohio.
  • Criminal and employment background check (BCI, FBI).
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of various intervention strategies and programs.
  • Proficiency in using data to inform instruction and track student progress.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify students who are in need of academic intervention through a variety of assessment methods (e.g., universal screening, diagnostic assessments, teacher referrals).
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on student needs and learning goals.
  • Provide direct instruction to small groups and individual students in a variety of subjects, focusing on specific skill deficits.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement differentiated instruction strategies within the general education classroom.
  • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and intervention plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in intervention.
  • Collaborate with other support staff, such as the school psychologist and special education teachers.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to student confidentiality and safety.
  • Support the Catholic mission and values of All Saints School.
