About The Position

Our client in Raymond, OH is looking for an Interpreter / Translator. This is a contract position. Provide accurate SIMULTANEOUS interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for meetings at Our Client´s Automobile Development Center (ADC), legacy. As an interpreter dispatched by your agency to work for ADC, it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand. Although translation is minimal, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and when necessary. Our Client is seeking a morning-shift interpreter for approx. 5 to 6 work hours per day, between approx. 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM ET, Monday through Thursday. Actual hours may vary depending on your capabilities. Occasionally, you may be asked to support evening meetings. Work hours may vary to meet project demands, but the goal is to maintain an average of 20–24 hours per week. If the number of meetings increases, your weekly hours may increase accordingly.

Requirements

• Experienced Japanese/English SIMULTANEOUS Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese).
• 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or at least 5 years of interpretation experience if no college degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate SIMULTANEOUS interpretation remotely for meetings at the Automobile Development Center.
• Translate documents accurately and quickly when necessary.
• Work approximately 5 to 6 hours per day, primarily in the morning shift.
• Support evening meetings occasionally as required.
