Requirements

Responsibilities

• Interpret the Spanish language in spoken and written form for various programs.
• Assist non-English speaking persons in understanding programs, procedures, and questions.
• Handle initial telephone and office contacts, providing information and making referrals.
• Assist staff and clients in communicating in Spanish during interviews.
• Help clients fill out forms, requests, and applications.
• Interpret documents written in Spanish for agency personnel.
• Schedule appointments for clients and translate during these appointments.
• Assist in interpreting agency programs to Spanish-speaking groups or communities.
• Translate agency policies and materials into Spanish.
