About The Position
Mystic Seaport Museum is seeking seasonal Historical Interpreters. Historical Interpreters bring the past to life for visitors of all ages and backgrounds by sharing stories, demonstrating historical skills, and making connections with the maritime world – past and present. Interpreters will work with the public in a variety of Museum exhibits, including children and family activity spaces, historic trades, and onboard historic vessels. Good Historical Interpreters can come from all different educational and professional backgrounds, so if you have a passion for history and enjoy working with the public, we want to hear from you! As an Interpreter, you will be immersed in a unique, exciting, educational, and fun environment that will challenge, delight, and surprise you every day.
