About The Position

The position involves providing language interpretation services for individuals with language barriers, ensuring effective communication between parties. The interpreter will handle telephone or video calls on demand, rendering the meaning of conversations in a consecutive mode of interpretation. The role requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to recognize and navigate sensitive cultural differences while using appropriate industry terminology.

Requirements

• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client.
• B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation.
• Process information quickly and concisely, recognizing sensitive cultural differences.
• Maintain professionalism and courtesy during all interactions.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices.
