ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon. Your Assignment Work with Cymer DUV Systems Engineering to develop next generation excimer laser technology. The intern project effort will focus on driving and improving tools and characterization of laser, providing key insight into key insight into the lithography application and a key characterization of the laser light source and lithography scanner interaction. The key benefit to Cymer is the development of characterization and tools to provide insight into the capability of the excimer laser. This will proved key insights into the interaction between the laser light source and lithography scanner by enabling a new methods to characterize the laser light source. The student will have the opportunity to work with industry experts in excimer lasers and will be mentored throughout the internship. Specifically the intern will gain experience in excimer laser optics, laser metrology and laser performance. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to setup, implement and document experimental laser setups as well as data analysis and modelling of proposed solutions
