Essential Functions Work with the Operations Manager as a mentor for project management and estimating training. Tasks to be completed with district support include: - Reviewing RFP’s, reviewing Contracts, attend pre-bid meetings, preparing/requesting subcontractor RFQ’s, participating in field/jobsite reviews, completing takeoffs, constructing estimates, participating in bid reviews, vetting subcontractors, and completing bid deliverables. - Check databases and websites that we utilize to find bid opportunities to pursue. - Work with the Operations Manager (Chad Pioletti) as a mentor for managing projects. Tasks to be completed with district support include: - Understanding existing contractual obligations, attending project hand-off and kick-off meeting, updating project schedule, forecasting project cost to completion, attending field visits, and attending project update meetings with client. Assist project managers with current project deliverables: requesting utility locates, data entry, project tracking and performance, prepare billing, and review equipment utilization etc. Work with Safety Engineer to perform site safety audits, field inspections, etc. Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team. Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.
