About The Position

The Students for Energy and Entrepreneurial Development (SEED) Internship Program Coordinator Intern helps run the SEED internship in collaboration with program manager, Deena Wright. This role supports day-to-day program operations, student engagement, and coordination with participating startups. Interns work on both individual startup-assigned projects and a team project during the internship period. The coordinator facilitates weekly check-ins/check-outs, helps organize workshops and programming, and serves as a primary contact for students throughout the internship. This role may also include occasional operational support for the Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) program. Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) is a two-year entrepreneurial program at Argonne that embeds early-stage energy and science startup companies with scientists at Argonne to help de-risk their technologies and prepare for launch to market. In addition to providing access to research and development (R&D) at Argonne, CRI supports the innovators in each cohort by providing business and entrepreneurial training to help them scale their businesses. The SEED internship program provides each startup with a funded intern to support their growing business. Requirements

The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
Applicants must be: Currently enrolled in graduate studies at an accredited institution. Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months
Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
Must complete a satisfactory background check.

Responsibilities

Coordinate intern onboarding and communications
Facilitate weekly intern meetings, team project sessions, and progress check-ins
Support students and startups in project planning and expectations
Organize workshops and professional development activities for the interns
Track participation, feedback, and program outcomes
Assist with recruiting future interns
Provide support as needed with CRI administrative tasks
