Your Assignment: As a Process Engineering Intern for the Optics Polishing / CNC Milling, you will expect to perform a variety of engineering tasks including designing, developing and testing solutions; analyzing data; and troubleshooting production problems. You will also participate on projects to continuously improve processes that support optical manufacturing. Contribute to the optimization of production the Optics Polishing / CNC Milling. Design experiments focused on identifying root cause of existing production problems. Perform statistical analysis of process data in addition to any experimental data used for troubleshooting. Investigate deficiencies within production processes, with the intended focus of improving process controls. Draft robust production procedures, documenting manufacturable processes in the form of a work instruction.
