About The Position

The Optical Research Engineer internship at ASML US offers an opportunity for students currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program to assist Research Engineers in designing and testing optical systems for advanced lithography machines. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program at an accredited university.
  • Master or PhD in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Matlab, Lumerical, Labview, and/or KLayout.
  • Functional experience in a lab setting focused on Optics.
  • Integrated Optic Chip design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Research Engineers in the completion of a detailed design of an optical system.
  • Plan and prepare test scripts in Matlab and/or Labview.
  • Conduct testing of the optical system in a lab environment or on a full Lithography tool.
  • Report results and potentially work on alternate designs based on test outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior Researchers and Engineers, receiving mentorship and support.
