As an intern at Pratt & Whitney Mirabel, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our operations to gain valuable hands-on experience in the areas of industrial engineering, project management and continuous improvement. You will be supervised by our team of experienced professionals and will have the chance to participate in stimulating and innovative projects. In addition, the intern will take part and/or full ownership of Continuous Improvement projects on our Mixed Models State-of-the-art assembly line, following quality and Lean Manufacturing principles. Support P&WC to stay top-of-the-art in its Model-based Definition (MBD) / Computer-aided Design (CAD) practices, by supporting the update and implementation of MBD, current CAD methods and documentation, and validation process. The intern will be presented with numerous challenges and stimulations while developing project management competencies as well as analysis and communicating:

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
  • Engineering, or Operations background or interest
  • Experience in 3D modeling is mandatory

Nice To Haves

  • CATIA V5 (or similar software) is a strong asset
  • Understanding of MBD/PLM is an asset
  • Must be resourceful with good analytical thinking and a team player

Responsibilities

  • Review & Update existing CAD methodologies using CATIA and various other CAx tools
  • Research & Document new process and procedures
  • Facilitate organization of the CATIA trainings
  • Review & Update training material
  • Data Exchange audit - New eyes on transfer log
  • Other CAD/Collaboration assistance as requested
