About The Position
Nexus-Onarga Family Healing is located approximately 90 miles south of Chicago and provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment to address unhealthy sexual behaviors and emotional and behavioral issues. The organization focuses on changing the course of a child's life through trauma-informed care and aims to stabilize families and strengthen mental health. Interns at Nexus are responsible for applying classroom theory to practical experience while ensuring that academic learning criteria are met. Responsibilities may vary based on the services offered at each Nexus location, including youth and family social work, early-childhood treatment, and family therapy.
