About The Position

Join our team as an intern to learn the ins and outs of the gaming industry. Located at our El Segundo office, this internship will last for 12 weeks onsite. We are looking for someone able to join us in-office who has the required skills, is passionate about games, and willing to learn from our team. This intern will be joining the Legal team. The Krafton Legal team supports the business by providing practical, forward-looking legal guidance across game development, publishing, and operations. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain exposure to legal matters unique to the video game industry and to apply practical legal concepts to real-world products in an business environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (JD candidate)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn new subject matter
  • Interest in video game law
  • Impeccable integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Coursework in intellectual property, contracts, entertainment or technology law and related areas is a plus
  • Prior legal internship, clinic, research assistant, or similar experience is helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize legal issues and communicate them clearly in writing (e.g. research projects, memos, document review or quality assurance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with video game console platforms and the video game industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with video games, intellectual property, and gameplay mechanics
  • Willingness to take a hands-on approach to legal support including documenting potential legal or compliance issues
  • Interest in global legal operations and media industry

Responsibilities

  • Conducting legal research on current issues relevant to the video game industry
  • Assist attorneys with legal documents by reviewing, analyzing and otherwise distilling key concepts
  • Support game development and publishing by evaluating game content, features, and elements and capturing critical information for use by the team and supporting compliance
  • Help prepare internal legal materials, reference guides, and more for cross-functional teams
  • Track and organize legal requests, documentation, and important deadlines
  • Work closely on emerging legal initiatives and other projects
