About The Position

Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world. As a SHE Intern, you will support the Oceanside SHE department to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a healthy work environment, and contribute to environmental sustainability efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact in the field of SHE.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a degree program (Bachelor or Master) related to Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Management, or a related field.
  • Strong passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Google Workspaces (Slides, Sheets, Chat, Drive, etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or coursework in recycling, waste management, or SHE regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of soft plastics and PPE recycling programs at our site.
  • Conduct research on best practices and innovative solutions for recycling soft plastics and PPE.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication and integration of recycling initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to recycling efforts to measure program success and identify improvement areas.
  • Educate and engage employees about the importance of recycling and sustainable practices.
  • Help organize and participate in sustainability-related events and outreach activities.
  • Document processes and create reports to track progress and share findings.

Benefits

  • The expected hourly rate range for this position is $20 - $35.
  • Relocation benefits are not eligible for this position.
