Join our team and contribute to this unique, essential mission. The Comms/Digital Content Intern supports the formatting, publishing and optimization of digital content across our website. This role assists with basic SEO tasks, page creation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency. The intern will work closely with the web production manager and editing teams in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering clear, accessible information. This position reports to the Web Production Manager.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates should be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate program or in a short waiting period between undergrad and graduate programs.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with publishing and digital content and an interest in state government and legislative work.
Responsibilities
- Assist with formatting and publishing web pages within the CMS.
- Support consistent design and formatting by following established content and style guidelines.
- Help implement foundational SEO practices, such as updating metadata, headings, and internal links.
- Update existing content to meet current standards and improve usability.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning discussions around upcoming content.
- Provide general support to the communications and digital production teams as assigned.
