About the position

The Electrical Engineering Internship at Minnesota Power offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various engineering tasks, including construction inspection, safety support, design, project management, and construction management. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and contribute to capital and operational projects while developing their skills in a real-world environment.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in construction inspection and safety support tasks.
  • Provide support to engineering, safety, environmental, financial, and construction staff for projects.
  • Perform engineering-related tasks under the direction of Engineers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Inspectors.
  • Engage in Electrical Engineering Design and construction oversight.
  • Implement field construction and quality control projects.
  • Complete other engineering-related work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering with an expected graduation date between December 2025 to June 2027.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for occasional travel.
