About The Position

The GTS Database Administration Internship is an incredible opportunity to put your skills to the test and apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-life business environment. At VSP Vision, we're on a mission to help people see every possibility—and we do that through our strategic business pillars that work together to connect nearly 90 million patients and their health data to network doctors in a variety of settings across the globe. As the GTS Database Administrator Intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with skilled and experienced Database Administrators and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You’ll have the unique opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various tasks.

3rd or 4th year college
Any Program
June 1st to Aug 7th (You must be able to work the full 10 weeks)

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SQL commands
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or IBM DB2
Knowledge of Delphix for Virtual Databases
Ability to analyze performance of SQL queries and optimize for improved performance
