Requirements

• Completed coursework in their junior year in engineering science, including chemical or mechanical engineering coursework in Fluid Flow and Thermodynamics at an accredited college or university.
• Familiar with programming VBA in Excel.
• Willing to work as a team with good writing and communication skills.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have the ability to drive mountainous, winding, narrow roads.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving and analytical ability.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future for any company.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Geysers Steamfield Optimization team with ongoing monitoring, evaluating, and optimizing of corrosion mitigation and steam scrubbing systems to achieve required steam purity.
• Evaluate scrubbing performance of existing equipment and identify best practices.
• Review corrosion effects in the field to identify causes of corrosion.
• Review database of pipe thickness and evaluate repair prioritization schedule.
• Assist corrosion engineer with evaluating test data and propose alternative test solutions.
• Model expected scrubbing performance of modified steam scrubbing designs.
