About The Position

The Internship Coordinator will assist with outreach to companies and organizations that recruit students for internships or other work-based learning and strengthen recruiting relationships with existing employers. This role involves working closely with Workforce and Academic departments and programs to assess and coordinate planning to provide appropriate opportunities as needed. The Coordinator will act as the main point of contact for employers seeking information about internships at the College and will manage and support modules in Career Connection/Symplicity, assisting employers, faculty, and student users.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work with college faculty and staff in support of internship experiences.
• Skills and familiarity with online career technologies and management systems, preferably Symplicity.
• Ability to articulate the needs and concerns of historically under-represented and ethnically diverse populations.
• Excellent customer service skills, including effective follow-up and follow-through.
• Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with small and large groups.
• Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to use and analyze data to evaluate and improve programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in project management.
• Proficient in computer usage, including PeopleSoft, Navigate Student Information System, or career management systems such as Symplicity.
• Partnership building experience.
