About The Position

The Construction Accounting Intern will support the accounting team in tracking, analyzing, and reconciling financial activity related to construction projects. This role offers hands-on experience with real-world transactions and exposure to the full construction accounting lifecycle, including budgeting, invoicing, and month-end close. You’ll work alongside experienced accounting professionals and gain practical insight into how accounting supports large-scale construction and investment decisions.

Requirements

Pursuing a degree with a major or minor in Accounting
Interested in real estate, construction, or project-based accounting
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Available to work 15–20 hours per week during the academic year

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and posting journal entries related to construction accounting activities
Support the review and processing of construction invoices, budgets, and contracts
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
Contribute to month-end close activities, including reporting and documentation
Collaborate with accounting team members across experience levels
Research and evaluate emerging A.I. tools for accounting related functions. Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to identify opportunities for A.I. usage and adoption.
