INTERNSHIP - 3DEXPERIENCE Lab (Jan - June)
About The Position
Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE company, is hiring a dynamic and driven intern to join our team. Our Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is excited to announce we have a 6 month hybrid internship opportunity available. Are you passionate about technology startups? Are you passionate about digital fabrication and design? Would you like to use your creativity and technical skills in an innovative and collaborative environment, and also realize your own ideas? If you're passionate about design, engineering and fabrication, then this is the position for you! The Dassault Systèmes Waltham location is the US Headquarters and the birthplace of SOLIDWORKS. You'll be working within the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab organization. The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is Dassault Systèmes' LABORATORY for disruptive innovation with positive impact on the world. We nurture startups with dedicated programs. We also boost creativity and innovation through targeted initiatives and community exchange. The FabLab is part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab and offers access to digital fabrication machines such as laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines and more.
Requirements
- B.S. Junior or senior or M.S. candidate in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar
- 3+ years' experience in CAD, namely SOLIDWORKS
- Enthusiasm for digital fabrication and design
- Interest in working with digital fabrication machines, initial experience is a huge plus
- Creativity and craftsmanship
- Basic knowledge of CAD design
- Teamwork and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Work on exciting projects across the 11 industries that Dassault Systemes supports, including transportation, high tech, architecture & construction and more
- Support startups and startup accelerators on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
- Operate and maintain digital fabrication machine
- Create and test prototypes and models
- Create and optimize CAD designs with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
- Train and support startups and Dassault Systèmes' employees in the operation of the machines
- Collaborate and learn from other interns, employees and external partners
- Have the opportunity to implement your own design projects using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
