Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
  • Unrestricted North Carolina medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Active DEA license and Medicare provider number
  • 3–7 years of clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage a patient panel averaging 18–22 patients per day (after ramp-up)
  • Deliver high-quality, outpatient primary care focused on prevention and wellness
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with clinical independence
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans and treatment options
  • Collaborate with specialists and care teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care
  • Maintain accurate electronic records using Athena EMR
